Often, tattoo artists may recommend laser tattoo removal to fade a tattoo in order to create a better workspace. Whatever your reasons are, Skinovatio Medical Spa is here to help!
How Does Laser Tattoo Removal Work?
Laser tattoo removal works by applying high-intensity light beams to the skin that is covered by a tattoo. The beams will break down the pigment and allow the tattoo to be removed by the body’s natural processes. During your tattoo removal session, you can expect to feel a hot sensation and zapping feeling that is similar to snapping a rubber band against your skin. This is normal and part of the laser working to break up the pigment of the tattoo.
Over the course of your tattoo removal sessions, the tattoo will fade. Sessions can be short, often lasting only minutes, but larger tattoos will take more time. Sessions are then spaced out by several weeks to allow the body to heal and work on repairing the skin and eliminating the pigments of the tattoo.
The number of sessions required are based on the size of the tattoo, density of pigment, and individual skin tone. Before beginning your sessions, our highly trained aesthetic specialists will go over how many sessions will be needed based on your unique needs. They will also be able to answer any questions and clear up any concerns you might have.
How Much Does Laser Tattoo Removal Cost?
Similar to how the number of sessions is determined, the cost of laser tattoo removal will be determined by the surface area of the tattoo and pigmentation. Please contact our office today to set up a consultation and go overpricing.
Before and After Tattoo Removal
After each treatment, you can expect your skin to feel hot, similar to a sunburn. In some cases, there will be some light scabbing, which is normal. You will be advised to refrain from physical activity or anything that will cause your skin to warm for about two days. Following each treatment, you will begin to see the tattoo lighten and fade until the desired result is achieved.
